About Our Project

Image
Our project "Europe is ALL-INclusive" is tightly focused on promoting inclusive education. It aims at finding together different ways of teaching and learning so that classrooms actively involve all children. And not only that, but finding ways to develop friendship, relationships and mutual respect between all children, teachers and the whole schools communities too. Motivation and creativity are as well key points to address when finding different ways to design lessons so that all children are involved. We want to put an emphasis in what pupils can do, on their abilities, rather on what they cannot do. We want to encourage a culture of respect and belonging, providing an opportunity to learn about and accept individual differences. In this way we tackle as well early school abandonment, as we create activities where pupils feel motivation, which is the desire to learn, through our four pillars: music, dance, art/crafts and physical education. Our activities are meant to en

Change of plans: COVID 19 pandemic affects human lives and school projects.

COVID 19 virus still present, causing trouble for once more. Nodody could  estimate the extent of the problem and how it would  affect every country and for how long. Schools were opening or closing in different periods, school curriculums had to be adjusted, while the introduction of distant learning was beginning to become the new routine for many schools. As a consequence, our Erasmus project had to be reconsidered and adjusted to the current circumstances and the final activities of the project needed to be discussed . For that reason, two virtual meetings between partner schools took place on May 11th and 18th. It seemed rather impossible to carry out the scheduled mobilities, due to restrictions on mobilities because of the pandemic. Accordingly, the activities that were related with these mobilities-Inclusive games/sports and Mini Olympic Games- were cancelled. Instead, it was decided that every partner school would work on a final video, containing memories, impressions, sp

Project extension - E-magazine 2nd edition

Image
Τhe  misfortune with the covid pandemic overturned our project’s schedule. The last two mobilities to Denmark and Spain had  to be cancelled, as well as the activities  that were planned. The school year ended in an unusual way    in every country, for that reason all partner schools  applied to their national agencies for an extension of another year, in order to complete the project. After the extension was approved, the remaining activities and mobilities were rearranged for the following year, with the hope that everything would go as planned. For start, a second edition of our e-magazin e was edited, resuming the second year’s events.

Covid 19 pandemic spreading across Europe

Image
The new dangerous Covid 19 virous that appeared in China in the beginning of the year, in only three months had reached Europe and in short time was spread throughout European countries. The unexpected situation dramatically affected people’s lives and eventually schools’ operation. For safety reasons schools in most countries were closed. Despite difficulties, schools soon had to adjust to the current circumstances and overcome the problems. For that reason, new educational methods concerning remote learning were introduced. Using internet technology and applications or educational programme broadcasts on TV, the school community managed to keep connection and discovered new ways for work and school learning. In addition, the new routine, even though using a screen, supported and helped psychologically and emotionally children to deal with the difficult period of the quarantine.
